Job description

Location - This role is hybrid, with a mix of remote and in-person work. Work primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton.

The Student Recruitment department within the Office of the Registrar specializes in the recruitment of domestic undergraduate students to the University of Alberta.

Reporting directly to the Team Lead, National Recruitment, the Student Recruiter position within the National Recruitment team is responsible for the dissemination of information and effective promotion of the University of Alberta to prospective high school students across Canada. This exciting and diverse position is also responsible for event planning, organizing and executing administrative details, and researching recruitment trends as required to recruit exceptional prospective students. This position requires extensive travel across Alberta and Canada, targeting select high schools, colleges, and special events to recruit prospective students via presentations and one-on-one interactions, including driving a U of A fleet vehicle to local and rural Alberta recruitment events. In addition, recruiting and connecting with prospective students using virtual platforms will be required.

The hours of work for this position will be varied, including a requirement to work evenings and weekends. This position requires overtime, extensive travel within Canada, and time away from home that may average more than five days per trip (primarily September through December).
