Job summary

A leading event technology firm is seeking a Student QA Analyst to kickstart your career in mobile application and CMS testing. This 8-month paid program involves hands-on experience, mentorship, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include test preparation, execution, and documentation of defects. Responsibilities

  • Assist with test preparation and execution for mobile applications.
  • Document defects with detailed reproduction steps.
  • Collaborate with teams to validate mobile applications and CMS platforms.
  • Collaborate with customer service, development, and product teams to validate apps and CMS platforms.
  • Collect stakeholder feedback to assess use-case coverage for mobile apps and CMS workflows.
  • Work with product owners to understand mobile and CMS stories and help shape test approaches.

About Our Co‑op Program

8 month program is an opportunity for students enrolled in a post‑secondary education program to gain hands‑on experience in the live event technology industry. This is a paid program with a 32 hour per week schedule. Student will work a hybrid schedule from one of our physical locations (Dallas or Montreal).

The program is set to start on January 12, 2026 and end on August 14, 2026. As with all of our new hires, we look for motivated people who exemplify our core values to join our team.

As a Leap Event Technology Student, You Will

As a Student QA Analyst, You Will

Kickstart your career by applying your technical education and software development experience, with a specific focus on mobile application and content management system (CMS) testing.

  • Learn and assist with test preparation, including participation in peer reviews, setting up mobile test environments, identifying pre‑conditions, and documenting and reviewing mobile‑specific and CMS‑related test plans.
  • Assist with manual test execution, focusing on functional, regression, and integration testing for both mobile applications and CMS systems.
  • Document defects with detailed reproduction steps, whether they relate to mobile platforms or CMS functionality, and assist in managing them through the defect lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including customer service, development teams, and product managers, to validate mobile applications and CMS platforms.
  • Collect feedback from internal stakeholders, including product owners, to assess use case and edge case coverage for both mobile applications and the CMS.
  • Work closely with product owners to understand mobile user stories, CMS use cases, and content workflows. Help shape test approaches, write test plans, and analyze test outcomes effectively.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program focused on Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with a focus on programming.
  • Basic understanding of Android and iOS operating systems.
  • Strong interest in mobile development, with a desire to learn about building and testing mobile applications.
  • Self‑motivated, with a willingness to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross‑functional teams, including Engineering, QA, and Product.
  • Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to clearly document and present findings.
Bonus Points
  • Familiarity with software testing, the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and mobile app testing.
  • Experience developing or assisting with test plans, using tools like TestRail or similar.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and how they apply to software development.
