Student Project Coordinator (East Gwillimbury)What You’ll Be Working On
Our internships and Co-ops are designed to provide you with a business relevant project thatwill allow you to independently manage your own area of responsibility, while receiving supportfrom an assigned Supervisor and Technical Mentor. We’ll help you discover your strengths anddevelopment areas in a challenging, fun, and supportive work environment.
Projects are scoped in alignment with your term length, and typically focus on a currentconstruction project.
We are seeking a student to join us for a 8 month co-op position starting inSeptember, 2025. This role will have positions available throughout the East Gwillimbury.
Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:
Coordinate drawings and work specific scope/trades.
Review trade quotes, verify material quantities, hours, and rates.
Participate in project meetings.
Conduct deficiency walks and update deficiency logs.
Issue warranties.
Take and coordinate progress photos.
Update field drawings and produce as-built drawings.
Field Coordination:
Perform quantity takeoffs.
Coordinate sub-trade work.
Verify site conditions and coordinate with drawings.
Supervise sub-trade work.
Set up and maintain record keeping.
Layout site lines and grades using total station.
Scheduling:
Update project schedules.
Create manual schedules and update schedules
Obtain scheduling information from sub-trades.
Create and maintain graphical scheduling
Monitor manpower productivity.

Who We Need On Our Team
You are currently enrolled in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, or Industrial Engineeringprogram
You will complete at least one more semester of education following your internship andpossess a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Ability to lead and operate within an environment where change happens frequently
Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships

Highly developed interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals
Ability to work collaboratively with a positive attitude
Residency, or a valid work permit which would allow you to work for Bird Construction orone of our wholly owned subsidiaries
If you are selected for a role with client specific requirements, you may be required tosuccessfully complete a pre-employment Medical and/or Alcohol & Drug testing.
May require a Drivers License
