Job description

Position Description

We are seeking motivated, adaptable, and technically skilled Materials Engineering Technician Students to join our growing team and contribute to a wide range of projects. This role offers the opportunity to work across both our Field and Laboratory divisions, supporting materials testing and inspection for infrastructure, construction, and engineering projects. This position is based out of our Kenora, Ontario branch office.

Position Responsibilities

  • Assist with soil, concrete, asphalt, and other material sampling and testing both on-site and in the laboratory.
  • Completing compaction testing using a nuclear gauge.
  • Documenting and reporting all test results.
  • Maintaining and calibrating testing equipment.
  • Supporting senior technicians and engineers in data collection and analysis.
  • Adhering to all health, safety, and quality control protocols.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a student in Civil Engineering Technology or a related discipline; have familiarity with testing procedures for soil, concrete, asphalt, and aggregate materials; hold a class G driver’s license; and have a willingness to work in a variety of locations and settings.
