About the Role

Reporting to an Innovation and Technology Strategy team member, the student will support and develop our Innovation Technology practices within a dynamic organization. This role focuses on business value through technology, supporting innovation activities related to business and operational models, people, processes, and technology. This is not a developer role.

The candidate will collaborate with strategy and business leaders to identify and advance innovative initiatives leveraging IT and OT, creating deliverables that support technology investments aligned with business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide IT support to various business units within Brookfield Renewable
• Maintain the SharePoint team website on the corporate intranet
• Support corporate initiatives through requirements gathering, best practices recommendations, and technical tasks like Power BI
• Explore emerging technologies and assist in applying them to generate business value
• Propose solutions respecting individual requirements and corporate IT/OT strategies
• Research and gather information on technologies, mainly around AI, from portfolio companies
• Create business cases and communicate innovation concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Evaluate new technologies and ideas for their potential to grow our businesses

Knowledge Required

• Enrolled in a post-secondary program in Business, IT, or related field
• Interest in innovative technologies such as advanced analytics and AI
• Knowledge of Power BI and dashboard best practices is an asset
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 suite is an asset
• Knowledge of cloud solutions like Microsoft and AWS is an asset
• Experience with ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar AI chatbots is an asset

Note: The position requires on-site presence at least 4 days a week, with ongoing reassessment of this requirement.
