Job description

This is a four-month temporary position from May - August 2025.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Standardize and analyze workstation and phone data using Excel to ensure accuracy across asset systems.
  • Assist in rationalizing active vs inactive workstations to maintain clean and current asset records.
  • Support AvePoint (backup solution) cleanup initiatives by helping to clean up user accounts.
  • Contribute to small tech projects such as:
  • Common area TV display setup (via USB or other media).
  • Refine software imaging processes by documenting current processes and then working with team to find improvements.
  • Wipe workstations using tools and procedures.
  • Label and organize cables/devices in riser rooms.
  • Develop hardware/asset labeling schemas for equipment storage areas.
  • Coordinate and track ERA (electronic recycling) equipment disposal efforts.
  • Assist in the removal and recycling of outdated UPS units in riser rooms.
  • Update documentation for Incident management advisories templates, communication plans for incident processes and change management plans with step-by-step instructions.
  • Update operating budget data using Excel including actuals, forecasts, and budget figures.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Information Technology.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Enthusiastic, eager to learn, and a team player.
