Position Summary:
The Student Inclusion – FLS Coordinator will support the advancement of French Language Services (FLS) within our organization over 8 weeks. Working closely with the Inclusion, Leadership, and Talent Development team, the Coordinator will research, engage stakeholders, and develop resources to promote French Language Services. This role aims to build a more inclusive and equitable healthcare environment for Francophone staff, patients, and their families.
Primary Responsibilities & Duties:
  1. Review French Language Services legislation, inclusion priorities, and existing frameworks and services for active offer and interpreter access.
  2. Assess current practices and explore models for French Language Services through research, staff engagement, and collaboration with Francophone community partners in both English and French.
  3. Create bilingual educational materials and practical tools to support awareness and implementation of French Language Services.
  4. Support staff engagement and communication efforts through learning sessions and internal awareness campaigns.
