Job summary

Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) in Edmonton is seeking a motivated student for a full-time term from January 2027 through April 2027 to join the Application Delivery team.

You will work with agile teams to implement projects, configure accounting functionality, prepare artifacts, and document business processes while expanding your knowledge of investment operations, data analytics, Python/SQL, and modern fintech tools.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Undergraduate studies in Business or Quantitative programs (Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.).
• Returning to studies immediately following the work term or completing final work experience terms.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with agile Application Delivery teams to implement projects and change initiatives.
• Participating in implementation projects by configuring, documenting, and presenting accounting functionality throughout the project life cycle.
• Preparing project artifacts and assisting in documenting business processes and test regression suites.
• Utilizing business analysis tools and techniques to support enterprise-wide initiatives, identifying workflow issues, and implementing innovative solutions.
• Facilitating requirements gathering sessions with subject matter experts to create and validate system specifications that meet business requirements.
• Support Front Office initiatives involving portfolio management, trading, compliance, and investment operations.
• Work with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and operational risk reduction.
