Job summary

Motor Coach Industries is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Student Engineer Interns to join our engineering team in Winnipeg. You will support production activities and cross-functional teams, helping to solve technical challenges and contribute to projects that drive innovation, quality, and sustainability.

You will work with experienced engineers, use CAD tools to develop designs, and assist with drawings, testing, and data analysis in a dynamic transportation manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a recognized post-secondary Mechanical or Electrical Engineering program.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles, design processes, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with engineering and design software such as Siemens NX (Unigraphics), AutoCAD, or similar CAD platforms is considered an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, accuracy, and continuous learning.
  • Previous manufacturing, production, co-op, internship, laboratory, or engineering-related experience is considered an asset.

We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering students to join our team as a Student Engineer Intern. Standard Work Schedule: Day Shift | Monday - Friday | 7:30AM – 4:00PM
