Job description

The Student CT/MR Technologist maintains regulatory and professional standards and exhibits strong decision-making capabilities under the supervision of a registered Computed Tomography/Magnetic Resonance (CT/MR) Technologist. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing CT/MR procedures, following approved workflows and procedural protocols. The Student CT/MR Technologists assists with operating CT/MR equipment, which is crucial for maintaining accuracy and efficiency in diagnostic imaging processes. This role contributes to the delivery of high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services while gaining hands-on experience and knowledge under the guidance of a registered CT/MR Technologist.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting with patient transport to ensure smooth and efficient flow, prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
  2. Supporting the completion of exams and documentation in Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for accurate record-keeping.
  3. Following established protocols to ensure safe practices, avoiding errors, and actively participating in ongoing education and training.
  4. Assisting with routine and special CT/MR exams to ensure timely and accurate results, minimizing repeat examinations.
  5. Participating in annual competency assessments to maintain and enhance skills necessary for high-quality imaging services.
  6. Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 0-1 year.
  • Licensure/Certification: BLS (CPR) from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
