MacEwan University is seeking experienced and enthusiastic Student-Athlete Camp Instructors for casual opportunities with our Griffins Athletics department. You will lead, support, and motivate campers as they enjoy full-day basketball, volleyball, hockey, or multi-sport camps in a positive team environment. You will also help lead instructional sessions for a group of young athletes emphasizing skill development, safety, sportsmanship, and fun.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Following the specified daily training schedule outlined by the Camp Coordinator, Team Lead;
  • Working with other camp staff members to plan and coordinate camp events;
  • Leading and supporting campers as they participate in age-appropriate sports activities;
  • Cleaning, maintaining, and ensuring proper use of University facilities and equipment.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience coaching youth sports or playing on post-secondary basketball, volleyball, or hockey teams.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Position Requirements

A valid Vulnerable Sector Check through the Edmonton Police Service must be completed before camps begin.

This position is included under the MacEwan Staff Association Collective Agreement. Please note, initial salary placement for external candidates is limited to the first five steps of the salary grid.
