Job summary

Brandon University is seeking a Student Assistant II – Theory Test Invigilator in the Music Department. This casual, as-needed role involves preparing rooms, supervising exams, collecting and returning materials, and ensuring exam procedures are followed.

Start date September 8, 2026; wage of $17.63 per hour; multiple positions; appointment through June 30, 2027. Preference for current BU students; completion of 64:280 or equivalent required;Bachelor or Music preferred.

• Successful completion of 64:280 or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Collect blank assessment sheets from Music Office on assessment days.
• Open and set up assessment room (10 minutes before beginning of exam).
• Invigilate during the assessment, ensuring that all procedures are followed correctly.
• Collect completed assessments from students.
• Mark assessments using the grading key provided.
• Return assessments to the Music Office within specified deadlines.
• Track time taken to mark assessments.
• Other relevant duties as assigned.
