Description

Located out of our Heartland Petrochemical Complex, the individual in the Student, ACP role will report to Asset Care Program Supervisor – Heartland. As a key member of the Heartland team, the Student, ACP will perform activities related to Asset Hierarchy and Equipment Assemblies while gaining valuable operational plant experience in a petrochemical facility.

This role will interface with operations specialist, operations engineer and other senior and experience member of the site technical team.

Duration: 12 months

IMPORTANT (!) We only consider candidates who are available to work full time (40 h/week) for the term of 12 months.

Key Activities and Responsibilities:


  • Develop Asset Hierarchy and Equipment Assemblies based on ISO 14224 and P&IDs.
  • Support any other activity related to Asset Care Program.


Education, Skills and Experience:


  • Recent graduate or 4th year Mechanical or Chemical engineering student (1 year term).
  • Experience in reading and interpretating engineering documentations (P&IDs preferrable).
  • Past operational Co-Op experience would be an asset.
  • Proficiency with Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Adapts and embraces change


Schedule:

9x80 week schedule is a type of compressed work schedule that allows employees to work 80 hours over nine days instead of the usual ten, having 1 Friday off in every 2 weeks.
