Job summary

Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond Campus is seeking a Specialist, Collections to manage delinquent student accounts and Perkins Loan portfolios. This role oversees collection activities through internal channels, external agencies, the Kentucky Department of Revenue, and the U.S.

Department of Education while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. You will track and audit accounts, coordinate with third-party collection agencies, and resolve discrepancies to support recovery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.
• Three years of experience required; experience in student financial services or collections preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages delinquent student accounts and Perkins Loan accounts with attention to Federal regulations and internal procedures.
• Responds to phone calls and emails from students, parents, and third-party agencies with professional customer service.
• Maintains Perkins Loan portfolio; assigns accounts to the U.S. Department of Education in accordance with regulations.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
