Job summary

TYLin Toronto is seeking a Buildings Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience across structural design, drawings, and project teamwork on commercial, institutional, and residential buildings.

You will support the project team from concept to construction, conduct field reviews, study plans, and assist with modeling and calculations. The internship offers mentorship and exposure within a global firm.

Qualifications

• Must be an undergraduate in Civil or Architectural Engineering, 3rd year, or graduate student.
• Completion of steel and concrete design classes preferred.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel and engineering software.
• Familiarity with REVIT Structure helpful.
• Co-op/internship experience in buildings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing structural design and drawings for buildings from concept through construction.
• Perform field reviews and document existing conditions.
• Become familiar with engineering plans and details.
• Assist with computer modeling and hand calculations.
