Job summary

TYLin is recruiting a Buildings Engineering Intern for our Calgary, AB office for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in structural design for commercial, institutional, and residential buildings, from concept through construction, collaborating with project teams.

You will develop skills in field reviews, plan reading, and basic modeling, while learning REVIT Structure and standard engineering software in a supportive, professional environment.

Qualifications

• Current 3rd year or graduate standing in Civil/Architectural Engineering (structures focus).
• Completion of steel and concrete design courses preferred, at least one required.
• Experience with MS Word, Excel and engineering software.
• Familiarity with REVIT Structure is beneficial; co-op/internship in buildings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing structural design and drawings for buildings from concept to construction.
• Perform field reviews and document existing conditions on projects.
• Familiarize with engineering plans and details.
• Assist with computer modeling and hand calculations.
