PTW is seeking Structural Welders and Fabricators (Fitters) for future opportunities at our Calgary fabrication facility. We offer flexible start times with morning or afternoon options. This is an expression of interest posting for upcoming work opportunities.

• Monday to Friday shifts with opportunities for weekend overtime
• 8-10 hour days with potential for additional overtime

A Day in the Life…

• Interprets blueprints, welding process specifications, and symbols
• Operates manual or semi-automatic welding equipment (e.g., FCAW, SMAW)
• Removes welds using Air Arc Gouging
• Completes work within set timeframes and specifications
• Accurately fills out timesheets, weight sheets, hazard analyses, etc.
• Operates manual flame-cutting equipment
• Adjusts welding equipment and tooling as per specifications
• Maintains cleanliness and housekeeping in work areas

Experience Requirements

• Minimum one year of relevant work experience; college or industry courses are an asset
• Interprovincial Red Seal certification is an asset
• Specialization in structural construction welding is an asset
• Current CWB qualifications
• Strong understanding of welding equipment and accessories
• Knowledge of pre-heat and post-heat procedures

Other Requirements

• Own transportation required (location not accessible by public transit)
• Night shift premium
• Basic hand tools required
• CSA-approved steel-toed boots required
• Overhead Crane certification is an asset
