Job description

Structural Steel Fabricator Position

Structural steel fabricator needed for Certa Industries.

Location: 1308 8 St Nisku, AB T9E 7M1 Canada

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Determine materials required.
2. Interpret engineering drawings and others’ instructions to plan methods and sequences of operation.
3. Lay out reference points and patterns.
4. Plan the sequence of tasks to cut metal most efficiently.
5. Study engineering drawings and blueprints to determine material requirements.
6. Assemble and fit plates and sections to form structures.
7. Weld or bolt sections together.
8. Set up and operate heavy-duty metal-working machines.
9. Construct patterns and templates.
10. Install fabricated components in final product.
11. Rig, hoist and move materials to storage areas or within worksite.
12. Supervise staff.

Salary: $32.00 / hour for 40 hours per week.

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time. Start Date: As soon as possible.

Employment Conditions: Day, Morning, Overtime, Shift.

Requirements / Skills:

1. Languages: English.
2. Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
3. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.

On-site work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Work Setting: Various locations.

Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, attention to detail.
