Job Title - Structural Repair Design Engineer

Location – Mirabel (hybrid 3 days a week)

Job description:
As part of a specialized engineering team, you will support a commercial aircraft program as a Design Engineer specialist for In-service support.

Key responsibilities:

• Assess aircraft structural damage.
• Respond to aircraft grounded (AOG) situations and customer engineering requests.
• Investigate in-service problems, identify failure causes, and develop effective solutions.
• Propose repair solutions compliant with sector regulations and customer needs.
• Collaborate with design authorities (DA & DAD) and SME in stress, Aero, Materials & Processes.
• Prepare certification reports in English.
• Design generic repairs for metallic and composite structures.
• Participate in structural modifications design and support.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• At least five (5) years of experience in aerospace repairs (In-service, MAP/MRB).
• Proficiency in CATIA V5, Enovia, and PLM configuration.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft structures.
• Comfort questioning aircraft structure repairs.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proactive, able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Fluent in English, French is an asset.
• Knowledge of airline operations, engineering, and maintenance is a plus.
