Structural Forensic Engineer - Full Time (Southwestern Ontario - Chatham, Sarnia, Windsor)

Pario Engineering & Environmental Sciences is currently seeking a Structural Forensic Engineer who is dynamic, motivated, and passionate about their career to support the Southwestern Ontario area including Chatham, Sarnia, and Windsor.

The successful applicant will be responsible for performing forensic investigations for structural, building envelope, as well as building code compliance issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite is required. Good presentation skills are an asset. Must be able to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders. This position involves working with a highly creative and collaborative team dedicated to innovative problem solving and design excellence. Willingness to travel is a must.

Responsibilities
  1. Assess, analyze, and report on the cause and origin of structural failures.
  2. Interview witnesses, service personnel, and officials.
  3. Provide structural designs for restoration and renovation.
  4. Develop and complete working drawings for building department approval.
  5. Lead complex or innovative projects requiring new design approaches.
  6. Manage projects from start to finish.
  7. Deliver accurate and timely designs.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  2. Professional Engineering License or eligibility to obtain one in Ontario.
  3. At least 5 years of relevant experience.
  4. Experience in residential design and/or equivalent work.
  5. Experience in the insurance and legal industries.
  6. Proven track record of project completion.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  8. Knowledge of the Regional Building Code.
  9. Construction experience is an asset.
  10. Positive, self-driven, and motivated attitude.
  11. Willingness to support marketing and sales through industry engagement.
  12. Customer-facing skills for discussing project budgets and maintaining communication.
