Job summary

WSP in Canada is excited to offer a Structural Engineering Intern role in Ontario. You will support our structural teams, help prepare drawings, perform calculations, and gain exposure to site work in a collaborative environment.

This internship is for students in Civil or Structural Engineering (3rd year+). You will use AutoCAD and Revit, work on steel, concrete and wood projects, and contribute to technical reports while learning from engineers and designers.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Civil or Structural Engineering program (3rd year or higher).
  • Strong academic foundation in structural mechanics and design.
  • Familiarity with NBCC, CSA S16, CSA A23.3 or related design codes is an asset.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, S-Frame, SAP2000, or similar tools.
  • Detail‑oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable managing multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing structural drawings and details using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Support structural analysis and design calculations for steel, concrete, and wood structures.
  • Participate in site visits, inspections, and field reviews.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and engineering reports.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Help improve design processes, tools, and standards.

Compensation
  • AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $24.00 – $32.25/hr
  • MB & ON: $22.50 – $30.25/hr
  • NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $21.50 – $30.25/hr
