KGS Group is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Structural department in Vancouver, BC.

The Role

In this role, you will manage the structural design of multi-discipline projects from proposal to completion, including budgeting and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design of small to large commercial, hydroelectric, and industrial projects.
• Prepare tender and construction documents or reports in collaboration with team members and management.
• Develop technical reports, perform structural analysis, and create preliminary and detailed designs, working with drafters for drawings.
• Mentor junior staff and support personnel as needed.

About You

We seek candidates with a strong mix of qualifications and experience, including:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in structural design from a recognized university.
• 6-10 years of experience in structural engineering, including technical analysis, code reviews, design calculations, report writing, and project management skills. Experience with hydroelectric facilities is a plus.
• Proficiency with FEA software such as SAP2000, ANSYS, or RISA for vibration and dynamic analysis.
• Registration or eligibility for registration as a professional engineer with EGBC; registration in other provinces or the U.S. is an asset.
• Previous consulting experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to travel periodically to project sites for data collection and meetings.
• Ability to adapt to various projects and client industries.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to undergo security clearance checks.
