About the Role

We’re seeking a Structural Engineer to join our in-house engineering team and help design, refine, and improve our mobile aluminum bleacher trailers. The ideal candidate is comfortable with hand calculations, FEA simulations, and collaborating on manufacturable designs that meet both Canadian and international codes. They also have strong design skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural calculations and hand analysis to verify designs.
• Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using industry-standard tools.
• Design, review, and optimize aluminum and steel structures for modular bleacher systems.
• Evaluate structural loads and stresses in compliance with IBC, OBC, HSA, and other applicable codes.
• Work closely with engineering team, PMs, and shop team to create accurate, manufacturable designs.
• Prepare structural engineering packages for regulatory approvals and project submittals.
• Contribute to R&D projects including new product designs, innovations, and structural improvements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues as they arise in real-world scenarios.
• Maintain and revise CAD models and engineering drawings to meet internal and industry standards.
• Create and update mass-production assembly packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering (or related field)
• 2+ years of structural engineering experience (metal structures/modular systems preferred)
• Proficient in hand calculations, FEA tools, and engineering mechanics.
• Experience with Fusion and SkyCiv (or similar platforms).
• Ability to implement industry standard structural codes in designs.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple timelines.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Commitment to innovation and design excellence.

Bonus Points For

• Experience with aluminum structure design.
• Background in stadium/grandstand/seating system design.
• Hands-on shop or manufacturing experience.
• A portfolio of past structural projects (encouraged but not required).
