Qualifications

• 6-10 years of relevant bridge engineering experience, preferably in consulting.
• Proficient knowledge of Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CHBDC) and Ontario Structure Inspection Manual (OSIM).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Job description

The Successful Candidate Will

• Lead or assist with conceptual, preliminary, and detailed bridge design
• Prepare technical reports, design calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Prepare construction cost estimates, tender documents, and contract packages
• Review designs for compliance with applicable standards
• Conduct site inspections for existing infrastructure and construction projects
• Develop proposal submissions and assist with business development efforts
• Coordinate and delegate tasks to junior staff and review their work
• Support growth initiatives, particularly in Ottawa, if based there
  
  

Key Position Requirements

• P.Eng. in the province of Ontario, registered with PEO
• 6-10 years of relevant bridge engineering experience, preferably in consulting
• Proficient knowledge of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CHBDC), Ontario Structure Inspection Manual (OSIM), and applicable standards and legislation
• Strong technical design experience with reinforced and prestressed concrete, steel, and other bridge materials
• Experience with project coordination and client communication
• Strong technical and analytical skills, familiarity with Civil 3D is considered an asset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Collaborative mindset with interest in mentorship and team leadership
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
