ITEc Group is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer in Canada to join the engineering team. The role focuses on large-scale fabricated steel structures and engineered equipment used in power generation and heavy industry.

The ideal candidate will perform detailed analyses, design work, and provide technical support across proposal development, design, and fabrication phases, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 10+ years of hands-on structural engineering experience in heavy industrial equipment or fabricated steel structures.
• Strong experience with structural steel design, stress analysis and welded assemblies.
• Proficient with STAAD Pro or equivalent software.
• Knowledge of North American structural design codes and fabrication practices.
• Ability to perform complex calculations independently.

Responsabilidades

Our client, an established manufacturer of specialized industrial equipment, is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their engineering team. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex, large-scale fabricated steel structures and engineered equipment used in power generation and heavy industrial applications. The successful candidate will play a key role in structural design, analysis, and ensuring the integrity and reliability of custom-engineered solutions.

Daily Responsibilities

• Perform detailed structural analysis, design calculations, and engineering assessments for large fabricated steel structures, exhaust stacks, ductwork, and industrial equipment.
• Design and evaluate structural steel components, welded connections, support structures, and load-bearing assemblies.
• Utilize STAAD Pro, Mathcad, and other engineering tools to perform structural calculations and validate designs.
• Ensure compliance with applicable structural codes, ASME standards, and customer specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, manufacturing, and project management teams to develop practical, cost-effective solutions.
• Provide technical support throughout proposal development, design, fabrication, and project execution.
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical documentation, and structural design deliverables.

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of hands-on structural engineering experience, ideally involving heavy industrial equipment or fabricated steel structures.
• Strong experience with structural steel design, stress analysis, load calculations, and welded assemblies.
• Proficiency with STAAD Pro or equivalent structural analysis software.
• Strong knowledge of North American structural design codes, standards, and fabrication practices.
• Ability to independently perform complex engineering calculations and develop practical structural solutions.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 CAD
