Job summary

Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd. (RJC) is seeking a Structural BIM Technologist in Ottawa to join a fast-paced, owner-employee team. You will develop structural models in REVIT, coordinate with engineers, and contribute to a broad mix of commercial, residential and institutional projects.

You will collaborate with project engineers, deliver drawings on time, and grow technically through ongoing professional development in a collaborative, employee-owned environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate course of Revit from accredited University or Technical college is required.
• Diploma in Civil/Structural drafting or technology from accredited University or Technical College.
• CanBIM certification or Autodesk certification is an asset and strongly preferred.
• Certified Engineering Technologist as an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop building Structural models from general conceptual information.
• Provide project drafting/modelling and be accountable for schedule and efficiency.
• Be accountable to Project Engineers for drawing production and quality per RJC standards.
• Work as part of a team, to produce drawings / Revit Model on a variety of projects.
• Coordinate and overlay drawings of other team members to resolve drawing coordination in development of detailed design of projects.
