Job summary

Corus Entertainment Inc. is seeking a Casual Street Team Member for Vancouver to promote CFOX, Rock101 and 730 CKNW. You’ll represent the stations at events, engage with audiences, and help run on-site promotions across a varied shift schedule including weeknights and weekends.

You’ll work closely with staff from all departments, handle live mic moments, assist with event setup, and support social media activity. A valid driver’s license and flexible availability are required.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Radio, Broadcasting, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be responsible, reliable, and punctual; represent the station in a professional manner.
  • Able to lift and carry equipment as required.
  • Ability to learn basic technical engineering.
  • Creativity (visual and problem solving) will help you shine in this role.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team.
  • Filming and editing skills a bonus.
  • Leadership qualities and initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Representing our radio stations at street appearances on the street, at events, concerts, festivals, parades, client locations, etc.
  • Set up and tear down of station events
  • Interacting/engaging with listeners and clients/sponsors, running contests, administering prizes, and promoting products and services.
  • Knowledge of and having experience in posting and interacting on Social Media Platforms (i.e. Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, etc.).
  • Working closely with on-air announcers and staff from all departments
  • Hosting and emceeing of station events in front of large crowds
  • Be able to shine in front of a crowd and be comfortable on a microphone.
  • Coordinate on site events and street team member tasks.
  • Documenting all event activities and details
  • Basic maintenance and upkeep of station vehicles and equipment

About the Role:

Corus Radio Vancouver is looking for a casual Street Team Member to join the CFOX, Rock101 & 730 CKNW team.Reporting to the Promotions Coordinator, the successful candidate would be responsible for representing the station at promotions and live on-location broadcasts, interacting with clients and the general public, activation of on-site events, and creating fun, memorable experiences for our listeners. This role involves a variety of shifts including weeknights, weekends, early mornings, and holidays. If you are passionate about music, pop culture, sports, current events and the city you live in, then we are looking for you to join our team!

You will contribute by:

  • Representing our radio stations and executing station appearances on the street, at events, concerts, festivals, parades, client locations, etc.

  • A love for radio goes a long way – broadcast students are encouraged to apply.
