Saragossa in Montreal is seeking an experienced streaming engineer to build and own the live streaming infrastructure for their sports platform. You will shape the technical direction, scale real-time events, and work closely with cloud and media stacks.

As the first dedicated streaming hire, you will define standards, select tools like Wowza, SRT, FFmpeg, and AWS services, and mentor future teammates as the team grows.

You get to build the streaming infrastructure from scratch, at a company that just became the foundation of a private equity-backed sports platform.

This Montreal-based sports streaming technology company sits as the cornerstone of their youth and amateur sports content. That acquisition means serious investment is flowing in, and the technology team is one of the first priorities. This is a hybrid role based in Montreal. You are coming in as the first major hire for the streaming function.

You are identifying the gaps, making the calls, and eventually building a team around you. The groundwork you lay here becomes the standard for everything that follows. Not through layers of management, not filtered through a product team. You are in the room where the real technical decisions get made, with someone who understands the technology deeply and wants to build something that lasts.

The work itself is centered on scaling and modernizing a live streaming infrastructure that handles real venues, real events, and real audiences. You are working across Wowza, SRT, and FFmpeg, architecting on AWS, and solving problems that actually matter to the people watching their kids play.

You have worked with the core streaming stack, you know your way around cloud infrastructure, and you are ready to stop being one of many engineers and start being the engineer who shapes the direction.
