Job summary

Auth0 is seeking a Software Engineer for the Streaming Foundations team to design and scale data infrastructure supporting event streaming, messaging, and analytics. You will influence the engineering roadmap and build highly scalable, fault-tolerant systems.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product teams, and champion observable, reliable platforms, with a strong emphasis on security and performance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Experience with Golang or Java.
• Hands-on experience designing, developing and tuning highly scalable, event-driven systems.
• Solid understanding of database fundamentals and experience with event streaming technologies such as Kafka.
• Interest in reliability, maintainability, scalability and security.

Responsibilities

• Help set the technical direction for the team and influence the engineering roadmap for the Platform’s streaming capabilities.
• Design and lead the implementation of complex data-intensive systems.
• Research and champion new technologies and architectural patterns to scale the platform.
• Lead and influence cross-functional initiatives with multiple teams.
• Improve observability, reliability, and scalability, and mentor others in operational best practices.
• Coach and mentor senior engineers and act as a technical leader across the organization.
• Collaborate with product teams as needed.
