Job description

This position is accountable for the Mobility segment in Canada, reporting to the Power System division. The focus is on Mobility across the entire Schneider Electric scope. Priority is given to delivering on segment expectations, developing long-term strategies, strategic partnerships, and playbook for the Mobility segment, while securing orders for the entire Schneider Electric scope with existing accounts and channels. Ensuring involvement with all internal functions and business units, developing strong customer relationships, and following marketing and sales fundamentals are key to success in this position.

Core responsibilities:
  • Business Developer Manager (BDM) for the Mobility segment in Canada
  • Mobility Segment: Rail, Airport, Port, EV Infrastructure
  • Drive indirect reports (local sales, tendering, project management, technical)
Key activities:
  • Develop and execute account plans
  • Develop and execute large project pursuit strategies
  • Support quotations for new projects (long cycle) and existing sites (short cycle)
  • Maintain and develop existing contacts and support customers with innovative sales solutions
  • Develop and execute the segment business plan and playbook
  • Provide leadership and direction for sales and in-field marketing programs/initiatives at a national level
  • Identify new offerings to increase business
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor activity and communicate findings to stakeholders
  • Act as national liaison to the global segment, lead product launches, and market development activities
  • Maintain opportunities pipeline in CRM and follow Customer Procurement Process (CPP)
  • Ensure account, segment, and offer documentation is available
  • Participate in industry organizations and events
  • Collaborate with all functions to meet financial objectives for the segment
  • Key contacts include Customers, Field Services, and Regional Business Directors
Qualifications and experience:
  • Knowledge of infrastructure project development in the mobility segment is preferable
  • At least 10 years of combined sales and technical experience in the electrical industry and mobility sector
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work productively across organizational levels
  • Self-motivated, creative, with effective time management
  • Strong business acumen and negotiation skills
  • Detailed knowledge of Schneider Electric services and products is preferable
  • Ability to create and execute strategic plans
  • Effective influencing, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Engineering degree, CET, or equivalent industry experience
  • Bilingual in English and French is preferable
Compensation and benefits:

The salary range for Quebec residents is $160,000-$240,000, including base pay and short-term incentives. Compensation is based on responsibility, experience, skills, and education.
