Job summary

Mantu is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to manage strategic and commercial performance of assigned commodities, supplier portfolios, or spend categories. Develop multi-year sourcing strategies and lead complex negotiations, working with Buyers, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Program teams.

The role requires 7–10+ years of experience, strong financial and business acumen, and professional fluency in French and English with site access eligibility.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, or supplier relationship management.
• Strong financial and business knowledge: spend analysis, total cost of ownership, should-cost analysis.
• Fluency in French and English; eligible for site access.
• Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, transportation, electronics, or other regulated environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead RFQs, RFPs, sourcing events, supplier selections, and complex negotiations.

• Present sourcing strategies and risks to leadership and coach Buyers and Lead Buyers.

Our client is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to manage the strategic and commercial performance of assigned commodities, supplier portfolios, or spend categories.

The successful candidates will develop and execute multi-year sourcing strategies, manage strategic supplier relationships, lead complex negotiations, improve supplier performance, reduce supply chain risks, and secure continuity of supply. The role will work closely with Buyers, Engineering, Operations, Planning, Supplier Quality, Finance, Legal, and Program teams.

Main responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year commodity or category strategies aligned with business, operational, and financial objectives.
• Lead RFQs, RFPs, sourcing events, supplier selections, and complex commercial negotiations.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, supplier reviews, escalations, improvement plans, and performance commitments.
• Ensure contract coverage, including long-term agreements, pricing agreements, renewals, rebates, payment terms, and supplier obligations.
• Identify and manage supply chain risks through supplier rationalization, dual sourcing, contingency planning, qualification, transition, and exit activities.
• Present sourcing strategies, supplier risks, performance results, and recommendations to leadership while coaching Buyers and Lead Buyers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• 7 to 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, commodity management, category management, or supplier relationship management.
• Proven experience managing a complete commodity or category portfolio, including strategy development, sourcing, supplier performance, and commercial negotiations.
• Strong financial and business knowledge, including spend analysis, cost modeling, total cost of ownership, should-cost analysis, supplier pricing, and productivity commitments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, analytical, decision-making, coaching, and executive communication skills.
• Professional fluency in French and English, eligibility for site access, and the ability to obtain the required Control Goods Certificate.

Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, transportation, electronics, automotive, or another complex industrial or regulated environment is strongly preferred. Experience with CPSM, CSCP, CIPS, CPIM, or an equivalent certification is considered an asset.
