In this role, The Strategic Sourcing Manager will provide sourcing and supply base management expertise to ensure that all aspects of the sourcing process meet quality, production, pricing, and corporate procurement requirements. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record sourcing high‑mix low volume customer parts and assemblies, developing and executing strategy, negotiating agreements and managing supplier performance. The Strategic Souring Manager will assist local Supply Chain teams in execution of projects and strategy to support business needs.

Core Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Internal Stakeholders: Work closely with internal departments, such as operations, procurement, finance, and quality assurance, to understand their needs and ensure that sourcing strategies align with business goals.
  • Assist local procurement teams in negotiations and day to supplier management.
  • Develop and Implement Sourcing Strategies: Create and execute regional sourcing strategies that meet current and future business needs, focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply continuity.
  • Identify and execute cost‑saving opportunities across procurement, inventory management, transportation, and warehousing while maintaining service and quality levels.
  • Align regional sourcing execution with global category strategy.
  • Manage Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, monitor their performance, and address any issues that arise to ensure continuous improvement and business continuity.
  • Conduct sourcing events, request for quotes and negotiations for your region.
  • Enable regional consistency in supplier management and sourcing processes.
  • Track transparent reporting of savings, compliance and risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, quality standards, trade regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
  • Leverage advanced analytics and data‑driven decision‑making to improve visibility, responsiveness, and operational efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skill/Knowledge & Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Certifications in Supply Chain Management, such as APICS CPIM or CSCP, are a plus.
  • 10 years of in‑depth experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, in addition to experience in supply chain management. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of successfully managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts. Strong background in cost control, process improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, suppliers, and cross‑functional departments.
  • Ability to negotiate and craft strong, strategic alliances.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Process‑driven leader with continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated success in team development, coaching, and fostering a culture of collaboration.
  • Travel – Willingness to travel up to 25% of your time internationally (USA) and locally to other Mirion locations and suppliers.

Other Skills/Knowledge:

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other relevant software tools.
  • Skilled with ERP systems (SAP), demand planning software, and supply chain analytics tools.
