Scotiabank in Toronto is seeking a Senior Manager, Salesforce Engineering to lead strategy, delivery, and evolution of the Salesforce platform across multiple lines of business. You’ll own the engineering roadmap, govern platform standards, and lead multiple squads to deliver secure, scalable, and high quality solutions in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, 5+ years hands-on on the Salesforce platform.
• Proven delivery of complex Salesforce programs across design, build, test, and implementation in a regulated environment.
• Strong leadership of engineering teams/squads, coaching, performance, and hiring.
• Expertise with Apex, LWC, Visualforce, SOQL; familiarity with integration patterns.
• Experience with API-driven microservices architectures and Salesforce integrations.
• SDLC governance, change management, version control (Git), CI/CD automation, testing.
• Cross-functional leadership with product, architecture, risk, compliance, security, and operations.
• Ability to set engineering KPIs, interpret metrics, and drive improvement.
• Salesforce certification (Developer I/II or Platform App Builder) held.

Responsibilities

• Own the Salesforce engineering strategy and multi-year roadmap.
• Govern development standards, lifecycle practices, and platform operating model.
• Drive platform scalability, performance, observability, and security alignment.
• Manage platform portfolio, capacity planning, and release calendars.
• Ensure timely, high-quality delivery and regulatory compliance.
• Lead cross-team dependencies and mitigate risks with action plans.
• Mentor engineers and grow high-performing squads.
• Define and track engineering KPIs; monitor platform health.
• Stay current with Salesforce capabilities and evaluate new tech.
