Strategic Sales Development Trainee - Plumbing

The Strategic Sales Development Program is a full-time, entry-level role designed to provide hands-on learning, mentorship, and support, preparing you for a successful career at EMCO. The ideal candidate is hardworking, a quick learner, personable, and collaborative, with a focus on sales. Graduates of the program have advanced into roles such as Senior Account Managers, Technical Sales Specialists, Purchasers, and Operations Managers.

You will progress through a 5-phase program covering shipping, sales, operations, purchasing, and account management.

Additional duties include:
Phase 1 - Warehouse Logistics
  • Learn about our products, supply chain, and sales support processes.
  • Engage in customer service, counter sales, order management, inventory control, credit management, and financial statements.
  • Develop skills to process customer orders from quotes to delivery and follow-up.
Phase 4 - Outside Sales/Account Management
  • Identify new business opportunities, sell products, negotiate contracts, and build relationships.
Phase 5 - Career Path Development
  • Determine your preferred career trajectory based on your training and interests.
Qualifications include:
  • College and/or university degree
  • Customer service experience
  • Positive attitude and results-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work independently and in support roles
  • Sales experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000, based on total compensation including performance-based profit sharing.
