Role Description

Reporting to the Environmental Services (ES) Director of Strategic Pursuits, the Strategic Pursuit Manager (SPM) collaborates with leadership and pursuit teams to align priorities and lead proposal, pursuit, and marketing activities for high-profile opportunities within the ES Business Operating Unit. The SPM provides strategic guidance, conducts market and competitor research, and oversees complex proposal development involving multiple contributors, ensuring timely and effective responses.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and implement business development strategies for strategic opportunities
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop value propositions and win themes
• Identify market opportunities and leverage company networks
• Engage early in pursuit processes to develop action plans, including due diligence and win strategies
• Manage all phases of proposal development, from initial research to final submission
• Innovate in proposal content and presentation, including graphics and messaging
• Monitor and report on pursuit-related spending
• Ensure compliance with branding and confidentiality standards
• Share best practices and knowledge across teams

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Post-secondary education in business, marketing, communications, or equivalent experience
• 10-15 years in senior marketing roles, preferably within A/E/C industry

Additional Requirements

• Hybrid work environment, with in-office presence approximately three days a week
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills
• Ability to develop compelling win themes and work independently or collaboratively
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office suite
• Willingness to pursue ongoing professional development

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $110,200 - $165,400 (BC Lower Mainland). Final salary based on experience and location. Benefits include health, dental, vision, retirement plans, employee stock purchase, wellness programs, and more.

Additional Information

Location: Multiple Canadian locations, including Edmonton, Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver, Halifax, Saskatoon. This is a full-time, managerial role with no travel required.
