Olli Brands Inc. is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to own the buying cycle end to end, convert plan requirements into purchase orders, and ensure on-time delivery at budgeted prices.

The role collaborates with Inventory Control, Production, Scheduling, Warehouse, Quality and Finance on a daily basis. Based in a GMP-track cannabis edibles environment, the role requires strong negotiation, Excel discipline, and on-site availability five days a week, with occasional overtime during period ends and

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in supply chain, business or related field, or equivalent experience; pass site screening.
• 5+ years in purchasing or procurement in manufacturing with supplier price and terms responsibility.
• Demonstrated negotiation record with evidence of improvements or savings.
• Working knowledge of MRP/ERP purchasing: requirements, lead times, order lifecycles.
• Experience in regulated manufacturing (cannabis, food, pharma, cosmetics) with supplier documentation.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to maintain a large open-order book accurately.
• On-site availability 5 days, with supplier contact across time zones and occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Convert netted weekly planning requirements into purchase orders and maintain them.
• Own lead-time coverage and flag shortfalls within planning horizon.
• Respond to constraint lists with owner, date and supplier commitment; attend reviews.
• Expedite, de-expedite and reschedule open orders; provide proactive notices of date slips.
• Run consumables kanban with daily ordering and monthly review intervals.
• Negotiate up to approval limit; escalate multi-year commitments for Operations review.
• Maintain approved supplier lists with Quality and GMP documentation; ensure license compliance.
• Resolve receiving discrepancies, quality holds and invoice mismatches with cross-functional teams.
• Lead sourcing events for new or substitute items; present landed cost and supply risk recommendations.
• Keep purchasing records current and prepare for ERP implementation per GMP and OHSA requirements.
