Job summary

Modine is seeking a motivated Production Planner to optimize scheduling, inventory management, and production flow within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes alignment with capacity and material availability, driving lean improvements, and collaborating across manufacturing teams.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 3 years of production planning experience, with strong ERP and planning tool skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning or manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of scheduling, inventory management, and ERP systems.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing, HVAC, or related sectors preferred.
• Familiarity with 80/20 principles and lean manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead production planning activities for assigned product lines or plant areas.
• Analyze capacity, labor, and material constraints to optimize production schedules.
• Partner with material planners to align procurement and inventory strategies with production needs.
• Drive improvements in scheduling accuracy, inventory turns, and on-time delivery.
• Utilize ERP systems and planning tools to manage and communicate production plans.
• Mentor junior planners and contribute to cross-functional planning initiatives.
