Job summary

Ottawa Community Housing seeks a dedicated Procurement Officer to enable timely and strategic procurement across diverse client groups, including staff, tenants, contractors, and suppliers. You will work under the Director of Strategic Sourcing to ensure best value for money and compliant processes.

The role emphasizes contract management, evaluation, and collaboration, with a hybrid work setup and opportunities for professional development and DEI initiatives.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in purchasing management or supply chain.
• Professional accreditation (e.g. CPP, OPBA, SCMA, PMAC) is an asset.
• Minimum three years of related procurement experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify procurement requirements and assess opportunities and risk.
• Draft RFx documents (RFP/RFQ/RFT) and evaluation criteria.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with policies, procedures, and budget constraints.
• Coordinate procurement activities from posting to bid document management.
• Support contract development, performance measurements, and dispute resolution.
• Monitor spending and renewal dates of standing offers and service contracts.
