Position Summary

As the Strategic Procurement Manager, you will lead a team of procurement professionals, collaborating with internal teams and external partners to oversee sourcing activities, manage costs, reduce risks, and support organizational goals.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Design and execute complex sourcing strategies across multiple business functions.
• Manage and mentor procurement professionals through all sourcing project stages.
• Provide strategic advisory services to align procurement with organizational goals.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships, ensuring contract compliance and performance.
• Negotiate to drive value, favorable terms, and risk mitigation.
• Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, especially large-scale service procurements.
• Promote continuous improvement and innovation in procurement practices.
• Support contract lifecycle management, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance.

Requirements

• A degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related field.
• Proven experience leading strategic procurement initiatives, preferably in public or complex multi-stakeholder environments.
• Experience managing teams and participating in leadership discussions.
• Strong sourcing background across categories like technology, professional services, and operational support.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with influence across senior leadership.
• Expertise in contract negotiation and supplier management.
• Familiarity with procurement regulations in public or regulated sectors.
• Professional certifications (e.g., SCMP, CPSM) are assets.
• Relevant experience and education combinations will be considered.
