Job description

This role is for a BIG4 consulting firm, and the position is for theGreater Toronto Area.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and procurement transformation initiatives. This role requires a strong background in developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with business objectives, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients to drive successful outcomes.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in strategic procurement, with a focus on sourcing, supplier management, and procurement transformation.
  • Previous experience working in a Big 4 consulting environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and drive change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Relevant certifications in procurement or supply chain management are a plus.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the development and implementation of strategic procurement initiatives that enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess their procurement needs and develop tailored strategies that align with their business goals.
  • Conduct market analysis and supplier assessments to identify opportunities for cost savings and value creation.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate clients on strategic procurement methodologies and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including procurement strategies, supplier performance metrics, and risk management plans.
  • Provide ongoing support and optimization of procurement processes post-implementation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and legal, to ensure seamless integration of procurement strategies with overall business operations.
    • Stay updated on the latest procurement trends and technologies to provide clients with innovative solutions.
Additional Information

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with change management and user adoption strategies in procurement.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, category management, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with procurement technologies and tools (e.g., e-sourcing platforms, spend analysis tools).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
