Cuso International in Montréal area seeks a Client Advisor, CPA to manage client relationships and oversee year-end engagements with a hands-on approach. You will act as a trusted advisor and key contact for clients, coordinating with the accounting team to ensure timely, accurate deliverables.
The ideal candidate has 3–7 years of public accounting experience, strong year-end accounting skills, and knowledge of Canadian tax matters. A hybrid work arrangement is offered.
Our client is an established Montréal CPA firm with more than 40 years of history, combining modern technology with genuinely personal service.
Their clients rely on them not only for financial statements, payroll, and tax returns, but also for advice, strategy, and practical guidance from professionals who understand their businesses and where they want to go.
The firm works primarily with owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth clients and takes an entrepreneurial approach to accounting and advisory services.
Internally, the culture is dynamic, collaborative, entrepreneurial, and highly autonomous. The team is constantly improving systems, processes, and technology—including the thoughtful use of AI—to reduce repetitive work and spend more time solving interesting problems for clients.
This is a firm where people are trusted to take ownership, contribute ideas, and work independently while being part of a team that values excellence, accountability, and having fun along the way.
We are looking for a Client Advisor, CPA who can combine strong technical accounting expertise with excellent client relationship management.
This is an ideal opportunity for a CPA with approximately 3–7 years of experience who is ready to take greater ownership of client relationships while remaining actively involved in year-end work.
You'll act as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for clients, manage files and relationships, and work closely with the broader accounting team to ensure engagements move forward efficiently and accurately.
The right person enjoys both sides of public accounting: working with people and building relationships, while still being comfortable getting into the details of a file when needed.
The firm's current year-end environment includes compilation engagements, corporate and personal tax returns, and Canadian tax matters such as CDA, RDTOH, SBD, and section 15(2).
The ideal candidate has progressed beyond being solely a preparer and is comfortable owning client relationships, while still having the technical ability and willingness to roll up their sleeves and contribute to year-end work.
This role will suit someone who wants the professional challenge and client exposure of public accounting without an overly rigid or corporate environment.
You're likely to enjoy this opportunity if you're entrepreneurial, personable, proactive, technically strong, and comfortable working autonomously. You enjoy building genuine relationships with clients, take ownership of your work, and aren't afraid to get into the details when a file needs your attention.
