Job summary

The Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority is seeking a Manager – Nurse, Primary Care Team to provide clinical leadership across Nurses, Allied Health Professionals and contracted services. The role aims to deliver high-quality, timely health interventions using culturally appropriate practices and best-practice standards of care.

The Manager will oversee the Primary Care Team in the Sioux Lookout catchment and partner with First Nations leadership and communities to strengthen allied

Qualifications

• Bachelor level nursing degree and current CNO registration in good standing.
• Minimum five years’ nursing experience; prior management/supervision preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership and relationship-building with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Director, Primary Care and HR to recruit and hire staff.
• Supervise Primary Care Team disciplines; ensure clear communication and staff meetings.
• Monitor budgets, governance and performance appraisals; provide coaching.
• Coordinate delivery of Primary Care services and regional policies with stakeholders.
• Ensure systems support efficient service delivery and quality improvement.
