Job summary

The Legislative Assembly of Ontario invites applications for a Manager, Network and Telecom Services. You will lead the development of network and security architecture, manage security policies, and work with IT professionals and telecom specialists in the Technology Services Branch.

You will oversee planning, budgeting, and execution of key network security projects, ensuring safeguards, log monitoring, and compliant security practices across assemblies.

Qualifications

• University degree in IT or 6–8 years equivalent progressive experience with telecoms, apps, OS, databases, hardware and software integration.
• Broad understanding of network technology, security risks and controls.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business context.
• Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain network and security architecture and security policies.
• Identify threats and implement systems and procedures to mitigate them.
• Plan and schedule network and security projects with status updates.
• Ensure network safeguards and security logging are in place.
• Assist in planning network security budget and requisitions.
