Job summary

Desjardins is seeking a Legal and Regulatory Compliance Advisor to design, implement and monitor its compliance framework. You will diagnose issues, analyze data and propose practical recommendations to strengthen standards.

You’ll train staff and coordinate with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Desjardins’ ethics and compliance culture. Strong knowledge of French is required, with a track record of applying regulatory requirements to business processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance practices.
• Ability to develop and monitor compliance programs and policies.

Responsibilities

• Design, update, implement and monitor legal and regulatory compliance action plans and tools.
• Diagnose issues and determine target outcomes to improve compliance posture.
• Analyze information and develop recommendations to establish best practices.
• Train internal practitioners and raise awareness of ethics and compliance culture.
• Oversee business line activities and represent the unit before committees and stakeholders.
