Job summary

CanDeal is seeking a seasoned Subject Matter Expert in Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) and Procurement to lead and shape a unified risk framework for vendor governance within the Canadian financial sector.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to refine due diligence, drive governance improvements, and ensure compliance with evolving regulatory expectations across OSFI and FINTRAC guidelines.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Third-Party Risk Management, preferably within a major financial institution.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in procurement/TPRM, preferably in the financial services industry.
• Expertise in third-party risk management and procurement requirements and processes.
• Deep understanding of and compliance with OSFI Guidelines B-10, B-13 FINTRAC requirements, and other applicable regulations.
• Experience in developing or managing mutualized/shared services is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the strategy, design, implementation, and governance of a third-party risk management framework and technology platform.
• Support the development and enhancement of third-party risk governance models, due diligence workflows, and supporting tools.
• Help interpret and apply guidelines related to vendor management and operational risk, ensuring readiness and alignment.
• Advise on risk segmentation, vendor onboarding protocols, and procurement controls to improve defensibility, transparency, monitoring, risk mitigation and process integrity.
• Engage with stakeholders to establish leading risk practices and align with regulatory and operational priorities.
• Advise on technology strategies for automating and optimizing third-party risk processes.
• Provide thought leadership on emerging risks and regulatory trends in third-party risk.
