The Strategic Initiatives and Projects Manager is responsible for developing and implementing project management plans that support the goals and objectives of the Division of Student Affairs. They work closely with other members of the Student Affairs executive team and leadership to ensure that major projects are well organized and managed, and that students are informed about the critical programs, services, and resources available to them.
The Strategic Initiatives and Projects Manager plays a critical role in supporting student success by ensuring major divisional initiatives are effectively established, managed, and completed.
Key Objectives Include
- Developing and implementing project management strategies that align with institutional goals for student development, retention, and success.
- Creating a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters student academic, personal, and professional growth.
- Ensuring divisional projects are well-organized, strategically planned, and successfully executed.
- Strengthening collaboration across departments to enhance coordination, transparency, and impact.
- Promoting a culture of continuous improvement through data-informed decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
Bachelor’s Degree In a Related Field And 5+ Years Of Experience As a Project Management Professional In An Academic, Government, Or Public Agency That Includes
- A project management designation and/or 5+ years of experience.
- Demonstrated success leading full-cycle projects and facilitating strategic planning and change management
- Experience navigating multi-stakeholder settings with competing priorities and confidential or sensitive issues.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to engage diverse groups and all levels of university personnel.
