Job summary

The Indigenous Partnerships Manager at the Indigenous Jurisdiction Transition Office will provide strategic leadership and build strong relationships with Indigenous governments and communities to support self-governance initiatives and reconciliation efforts. The role includes supervising staff, guiding negotiations, and representing the department in diverse forums.

You will regularly engage First Nation leadership and communities, offering expert advice on matters impacting Indigenous Peoples

Qualifications

• Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with Indigenous governments and communities.
• Experience engaging in consultation and collaboration with Indigenous partners while applying reconciliation principles.
• Experience providing strategic advice on complex issues to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement and collaboration with Indigenous and government partners, and supervise staff.
• Provide strategic advice on Indigenous relations and reconciliation initiatives.
