About the role :

We are hiring a Strategic Human Resources Business Partner (SHRBP) to support our Corporate Functions (Legal, Commercial, Real Estate, I&IT, Marketing and Payments). The SHRBP will provide strategic HR advice, expertise, planning, and project and change management to senior leaders (Directors, Vice Presidents and Executive Vice Presidents). Through a client-centric lens, the SHRBP will lead the implementation of HR initiatives, develop customized strategies and solutions, and evaluate and recalibrate to meet unique business needs.

What will I be doing?

  • Strategic HR Programs & Initiatives : As a Strategic HR Business Partner, you will support senior divisional leadership in talent and performance management, strategic workforce planning, employee and labour relations, succession planning, employee engagement, leadership coaching, internal communications, and organizational design and transformation.
  • Data Analytics & Fluency : Utilizing the full range of HR metrics, collects and analyzes data to proactively identify issues and trends, and develops customized data-driven HR solutions.
  • Employee Relations : Manages employee relations issues with their clients (., workplace disputes, , including leading non-WHD investigations.
  • HR Policy & CoE Partnerships : Provides ongoing strategic HR partnership to business leaders on HR programs, practices, policies, legislation and regulatory requirements including interpretation of policy, identification of risk, impact to the business and recommended solutions; acts as a liaison for the client with the HR COEs and engages them as appropriate in supporting fulsome, wrap around service delivery.
  • Change Management : Supports clients with the development and implementation of change management and intervention strategies to support major projects and transformational plans that have HR implications.
  • HR Coach & Leadership : Provides leadership, technical guidance, training, and coaching / mentoring to HR Generalists.
  • Continuous Improvement : With a continuous improvement mindset, leads and manages interdisciplinary teams / working groups to improve processes and programs as applicable for clients and within HR.
  • What Skills and Qualifications Do I Need?

  • Completion of a university degree or college diploma in a related discipline to Human Resources Management / Business Administration, or equivalent experience; CHRP and / or CHRL is an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience and progressive career growth as an HR Business Partner or, alternatively, as an HR specialist across a broad range of HR functions in a large, multi-service organization.
  • Applied working knowledge across the full range of HR functions (talent acquisition, organizational development and design, total rewards, performance management, and labour relations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to present & consult effectively, and prepare comprehensive investigation reports, business cases, etc.
  • Strong leadership and relationship-building skills to coach and guide HR Generalists, HR partners, senior business leaders, and executives, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong business acumen, able to apply data-based insights to organizational strategic goals and align people management practices accordingly, and a robust understanding of budget planning and employment cost.
  • Advanced knowledge of organizational design, change management, and project management principles to lead business transformation and restructuring projects.
