Job summary

The Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health) is seeking a Communications Advisor to lead the development and implementation of strategic communications and engagement plans that advance Island Health objectives. You will collaborate with the Manager/Director of Internal & Leadership Communications and other teams to improve information flow to staff, medical staff and partners.

Travel between sites may be required; events and reporting may extend to evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (communications, public relations, journalism or marketing/advertising).
• 3–5 years in organizational communications including event planning and video storytelling.
• Valid BC Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic communication and engagement plans to support Island Health objectives.
• Collaborate with the Manager/Director Internal & Leadership Communications and other teams to improve information flow to staff, medical staff, and partners.
