Job summary

Finlink Group in North York, ON is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our growing finance team in an intermediate-level role focused on accurate reporting and insightful financial analysis. You will prepare monthly journal entries, complete balance sheet reconciliations, support month-end and year-end close, and drive variance analysis to explain fluctuations across revenue and expenses.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance with 3–5 years experience, advanced Excel skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, or similar finance role.
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, accruals, and adjustments to support accurate financial reporting.
• Review journal entries from various finance functions and ensure alignment with the general ledger.
• Manage prepaid expense transactions and maintain accurate records for timely entries.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes within deadlines.
• Conduct reasonableness checks and variance analysis on key accounts (revenue, expenses).
• Prepare and review budget-related information for utilities and building operations.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing and distributing monthly financial statements and analyses.
• Collaborate across finance to maintain consistent accounting processes.
